Erroneous average depth calculation in Matrix up to FW 1.1
Posted by Sergio Angelini on 24 October 2012 10:27 AM

The calculation of the average depth for a dive as reported in the logbook of Matrix contains an error in that the 3 minutes of the surface countdown are also considered. Hence the value shown in the logbook will always be a bit lower than the actual value, which is that which can be seen just prior to surfacing. This error is then repeated in Dive Organizer, whereas DiversDiary is showing the correct value because it is calculated on the fly (whereas Dive Organizer takes the data transmitted during the download of the logbook). This will be fixed in the next release, due before the end of 2012. NOTE: The average depth as shown during the dive is correct.
